Do I have to install a new plugin?
No. Chronova speaks the same API your WakaTime plugins already use, so changing the API URL in your existing plugin configuration is enough for your heartbeats to arrive here. If you are starting from scratch, install the WakaTime plugin for your editor and point it at Chronova.
Can I bring my WakaTime history with me?
Yes. The import runs as a background job with checkpoints, so a large history resumes where it stopped instead of starting over if the transfer is interrupted.
How is my coding time calculated?
From the heartbeats your editor sends while you work. Two heartbeats less than 15 minutes apart count as the time between them, capped at 10 minutes, and a heartbeat that ends a session is estimated from the interval before it. An isolated heartbeat counts as 30 seconds. The same calculation produces your dashboard and the totals on this page.
What does the free plan include?
Automatic time tracking with your existing plugins, unlimited projects, up to three goals, a public profile and seven days of history. No credit card, and no trial that expires.
Can I get my data out again?
Yes, whenever you want, as JSON, MD, XML, CSV, XLS, for a date range you choose. On the free plan that range covers the last seven days.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from your settings, without writing to support. Export your data first if you want to keep a copy — once the deletion runs it is gone.
